This is an unprecedented time of challenges and opportunities for you and your students…and PBS Kids and the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention want to help!

This PBS Backpack program provides a broad range of activities to layer onto what you are already teaching in school. PBS Backpacks include activities and projects inspired by some of your students' favorite PBS shows and are aligned with national and state standards. The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention has also provided STEAM experiment and activity videos that you can use in class or share with students for at-home learning.

Theme Days

You may wish to use these Backpacks to create themed days in class. For example, using the Social & Emotional learning Backpack - perhaps Monday becomes empathy day, or Friday becomes friendship or teambuilding day - with a new social and emotional activity presented each week. The possibilities are unlimited!

PBS Backpacks just released include Science and Social & Emotional Learning. Additional PBS Backpacks will be offered in the coming weeks, in added subjects, including Math, Social Studies, Art, and more.
